Well this week at Sisters of the Sea, we are raising money for Hurricane Relief. Our Parrot Head friends in South Florida got all kinda jacked up over the last week, and we are going to help out the best we can. Our goal for the month of October is to raise $2000 for hurricane relief.
So this week, everyone put your apron on and BAKE A CAKE! We will display these cakes on a table, then hand out envelopes by table to bid on the chance to choose a cake. We will take the envelopes back up in 20-30 minutes. The envelope with the MOST money in it gets to choose the cake they want! The 2nd most chooses next and so on until all the Cakes are gone. You can go in by table, or just get your friends, or go hit the ATM yourself. Even I am going to MAKE–not buy–a cake!
Hey we’ve never tried this before, but it sounds like a good idea. And if it doesn’t work out great–AT LEAST WE HAVE CAKE– so we CAN’T LOSE!! See you Friday night at Sisters!

ONE THING—NO BROWNIES. Just don’t do it. Seriously. Any suspicious brownies or cookies will be apprehended by the Board of Directors for disposition. (This goes for the Pirate Parade next Saturday as well. Please–no brownies)

One of our members had the great idea to raise money while we are bowling! Sunday the 9th, one selected Parrot Head will be there, not bowling, but counting the number of Strikes and Spares, and has offered to donate $1 for every Strike and Spare. Well guess what–I am going to do that same thing and match him and I want to ask YOU to do that same thing. (We aren’t that good of bowlers so I don’t think this is going to be a high number.) So now we have TWO Parrot Heads who are going to donate $1 for every Strike and $1 for every spare! How many people can we get to make the “Strike and Spare Challenge”? Please respond to this email and let’s get a long list of Parrot Heads to jump in! This Sunday at 2 at Rocket Lanes.

Our Halloween party will be Friday, Oct 21 at HOOTERS!! Entertainment is Darby Ledbetter! Darby is a trop rocker from Texas who just moved to PCB, so we will get some Texas music! The costume theme is “Come as your Favorite Jimmy Buffett song”! We’ve never had a meeting at Hooters and we have the whole deck for us. Yes–that is bike week, but bike week in October is nothing like bike week in April, and at night they don’t generally meet in the Hooters area. So be thinking about your costume!!

October 15 – Shell Island clean up — still have a few spots left. $10 will get you a ride on a nice catamaran out to Shell Island where we will clean up for an hour or two, and then hang out and party for an hour or two, and then get a sober ride home! This will be more than a THREE HOUR TOUR! (a picture of our last Shell Island trip is below– I wanted to be Thurston Howell III)
October 21 – the Halloween Party at HOOTERS! We have the whole deck reserved for us. The costume theme is “Dress Like Your Favorite Jimmy Buffett Song.” We will have prizes of some sort…
