Well we dodged a bullet, but we can’t say that for many of our Parrot Head Friends and sister clubs. For that reason, we are making the charity for the month of October Hurricane Relief. For those of us who were around in in 2018, let’s recall how much Parrot Head nation came to our rescue. For months we continued to get checks in the mail from the Tampa Club, the Space Coast, the Villages, etc. We were able to give $19,000 to local Parrot Heads who needed the money, and that money came mostly from our sister clubs. So both our Oct 7 meeting and our Halloween party at Hooters on Oct 21, will be a raffle and silent auction for Hurricane Relief! And we are going to ask YOU–if you have anything that you think someone might want, bring it with you and we will auction it or raffle it off!!!

Our Halloween party will be Friday, Oct 22 at HOOTERS!! Entertainment is Darby Ledbetter! Darby is a trop rocker from Texas who just moved to PCB, so we will get some Texas music! The costume theme is “Come as your Favorite Jimmy Buffett song”! We’ve never had a meeting at Hooters and we have the whole deck for us. Yes–that is bike week, but bike week in October is nothing like bike week in April, and at night they don’t generally meet in the Hooters area. So be thinking about your costume!!

October 15 – Shell Island clean up — still have a few spots left. $10 will get you a ride on a nice catamaran out to Shell Island where we will clean up for an hour or two, and then hang out and party for an hour or two, and then get a sober ride home! This will be more than a THREE HOUR TOUR! (a picture of our last Shell Island trip is below– I wanted to be Thurston Howell III)
October 21 – the Halloween Party at HOOTERS! We have the whole deck reserved for us. The costume theme is “Dress Like Your Favorite Jimmy Buffett Song.” We will have prizes of some sort…
