Let’s Get Started

Reminder, this Friday night, Feb 5th, 6 pm, Parrot Head Meeting at Barracuda Beach Bar and Grille on Thomas Drive. 1/2 price appetizers, other drink specials, live music and we will be indoors in case of rain or cold temps. The Charity is the Council on Aging, who provide Meals on Wheels to hundreds of people in our county.

And our Club Prez, Mark Sincavage, won the chili cook off at Patches last Sunday, FOR THE 2ND YEAR IN A ROW!!! What’s that secret ingredient Mark? It was close to Groundhog day, so….

Anyway congrats Mark–two years in a row!!! Woo-hoo!!

And a special announcement about St. Patrick’s day–March 17, we have something cooking!

February 19th we will be at the No-Name Lounge with a Jeff and the Camaros Album Release party! Our locals have heard some of the songs off the album, but you will be able to buy it for only $5 and we always have a good time at the No Name!!

On the one hand, yes we may have been a little bummed that the Mardi Gras parade got postponed–but look at the weather forecast for Saturday. Looks to be a cold kinda miserable day. Don’t know about you, but the May Mardi Gras parade is looking better and better!

First, have a great and SAFE Super Bowl Sunday!! Spring is around the corner, and finally some of us are able to get the Covid vaccine, and hopefully by summer and into fall that will be a majority of people and our meetings will start filling up again, and some of our more “experienced” members can start coming back! Until then, just remember…..
