We hope this Newsletter provides you with useful information on all the “Phun” things going on. It’s a busy time of year and the new Board is working hard on learning the ropes. Be patient and remember, they are volunteers.

There are so many ways for you to get involved. Panama City Parrot Head Club can’t run without members’ help. We have numerous volunteer opportunities available. Even the smallest amount of time can make a huge impact for all Parrot Heads…and you don’t have to be a local to help!

HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF

BAY COUNTY

Kenny Redd from the Historical Society of Bay County will be our Special Guest. The purpose of the Society is to serve present and future generations by collecting, preserving and sharing artifacts, documents and images pertaining to the unique culture and history of Bay County and its environs, assist in the preservation of historic sites within the county; and to operate the Bay County History Museum as an educational resource for the public, a repository for its collections and a place to present exhibits and educational programs.

BAY COUNTY SCHOOL

SUPPLIES DRIVE

A big Thanks goes to Debby Renken for organizing the school supply drive. We will be collecting school supplies at this Fridays meeting at No Name Lounge. Natalie Williams, Communications Specialist at Bay District Schools, has mentioned the biggest need is for High school students and has provide a list of items needed but anything would be appreciated.

Backpacks are a big need (Jansport is a type mentioned)
Calculators (new or used) Ti84 or Ti34
Notebooks, journal style or college ruled bound, single or multiple subject notebooks
#2 pencils and/or mechanical pencils as well as pens
