Okay we have several people nominated and a good handful have accepted their nomination (note–this is good), here is what we are asking.
If you have accepted a nomination, we would like for you to send us a picture of you, a headshot preferably, and one paragraph on why you should be the person we vote for.
On Tuesday the 23rd, the day AFTER nominations have closed, we will send an email with these pictures and the write up that you provide. We have so many new people that keeping up with names can be challenging, that’s why we are doing the picture thing. While nominations aren’t complete, you still may see some of these folks this Friday night, yes they may start campaigning even. Official campaigning, and the actual election will be from May 25th to the 3rd Friday in June (June 16th). June 16th will be the last day to vote as well.
Our election chair will tally the votes and purty soon we will have us a new Board of Directors!! More than likely, that 3rd Friday in June will be the turnover of the BOD (unless we have a tie or something, then it’s arm wrestling time).
Our current BOD is excited for the new year, as we have a good group of people who are stepping up. We aren’t going anywhere, we will still be around, just time for some new blood in our club.
