We have a GREAT line up for our February 17th Parrothead meeting at Neon’s! Mark Bell and Todd Gros will be our entertainment!
We will be doing an online auction and a 50/50 raffle at this meeting for the Florida Panhandle Golf Therapy Alliance! James “Tip” Tipton will be there to talk about this great non-profit that benefits veterans, PTSD adults and special needs children.
We have 8 great items in our auction! Five are baskets we have put together (including one full of gift cards to local restaurants!! At LEAST $200 worth) and three are “experiences / trips” offered thru the auction site BetterWorld.org (did anyone say “Masters Tickets?” My birthday is coming up….hint hint). This is new for all of us and appreciate your cooperation and efforts in making this auction successful!
We will have Debby Renken and several helpers available for anyone that has questions or needs assistance registering or bidding on the online site. We are sharing this information and a link to the site early so you have time to look it over before the February 17th meeting. You can even start bidding early if you choose! However, you CAN wait until you arrive at the meeting to register ~~ and we will help you !!

Here is some important information! READ this before registering on the site!
- During registration, you MUST include a phone number and check the box “Opting in” to receive text messages. You must do this to receive text messages!
- A credit card is required at registration.
- At the meeting, each and every item will have it’s own QR code that you can scan to take you directly to the online auction site and that particular item so you can bid on it.
- If you get outbid, you will receive an email and (if you opted in) a text message with a link to increase your bid.
- You can put in “max bids” where the program will increase your bid for you up to your max amount.
- If you place a bid in the last 10 minutes of the auction it will extend that item 10 minutes to allow additional bids.
- Winners will have to show the winning confirmation on their phone when they pick up their items.
READ this before you do any Bidding!!
- When you bid you will have the option to cover credit card expenses by clicking “Yes, count me in”. This is optional but will increase profit for the non profit.
- On the right side of the bidding screen you will see a summary of your bid with a line that says “Help with Fundraising costs ?” and a dollar amount. This auction site does not charge us any fees; if you do nothing this amount will be charged to your credit card and goes to Better World. This is optional. If you click the “ ? “ you will have the option of reducing or choosing not to contribute.
We truly appreciate everyone of you and your participation in our fund raising efforts! This is our test for Rendezvous, some of you are wary, and we are here to help!! This is no different than if you use Amazon on your phone, or iTunes, or any other app that requires $$. It’s SAFE, and makes our job a bunch easier on the other end.

ALERT!
It’s go time for Rendezvous, and we need liquor. We need that special bottle of liquor you saw in the store the other day. It needs to be $20 or more in value. Mini bottles are needed too–those can go in any basket. Our team is hard at work now creating baskets and we need good liquor for baskets and for Cork Pull.
PLEASE BRING TO THE MEETING ON FRIDAY AT NEON’S AT 5:30 PM!

Oh yea–have you EVEN registered for Rendezvous yet? We are a good bit ahead of last year’s numbers, so we will be shutting off reservations earlier than ever. Day passes are $60 this year, and they will be available.
